Education is one quality that undoubtedly has the ability to create change. It is often what differentiates a successful nation from others. Thus, when it comes to the knowledge of Islam, that of the Qur'an and of the sayings of the Prophet (peace be upon him); that is judicial, moral, spiritual, socio-political guidance plus much more, every community is in need of Islamic education.

The Alim course sponsorship aims to provide students with the means to complete a base eight year course, in which courses including Qur'anic studies and Hadith studies are also covered. The aim is to produce Islamic scholars from within communities with the greatest need of them, therefore producing scholars who are not only religiously qualified but also familiar with the local language and needs, and so maximising their potential. An Alim will often form the backbone of any community performing essential duties including providing education, advice, amongst other duties.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) has said, 'The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets (in terms of role and responsibility). (at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Hibban, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, al-Bayhaqi, at-Tabarani, etc)
