Burma

The most affected regions of Burma hit by the cyclone that struck in May 2008, are situated on the coast. Many people lost their boats as a means of generating income. UWT has initiated a project where fishing nets are given with which they can generate an income.

Bangladesh

Following on Cyclone Sidr that affected the lives of thousands of people in South Bangladesh, UWT have initiated various income generating projects.

£350 for one fishing net in Bangladesh.
