Millions of children across our Ummah suffer from poverty, displacement and orphanhood. Sadly, they are denied the chance to realise their potential as adult Muslims — not because of the difficulties they are growing up in, but because an indifferent Ummah refuses to extend a loving hand.

Many of these children survive in terrible conditions. They live in makeshift tents or dilapidated homes, with no regular income, food or healthcare.

Your sponsorship helps provide:

Allowing guardians to purchase food for the orphan.

Helping the orphan continue learning with confidence.

Shelter

The ability to pay rent and secure shelter.

Caring for the physical and spiritual needs of an orphan is one of the loftiest acts of worship in the sight of Allah Most High. The Qur’an and Sunnah are replete with reminders about supporting them and never refusing them assistance.

In adherence to this noble action, Ummah Welfare Trust strives to sponsor and assist as many orphans as possible. Many of these children are the offspring of parents who were unjustly killed in wars and oppression. They call upon us to help.

Lighten the Orphans’ Burdens

By donating any amount, you can ease the burdens on the orphans' guardians — mostly mothers — who often receive little or no assistance for their children’s needs. It also helps these innocent children to eat daily, attend school and reach their full potential, inshaAllah.

Securing financial independence for vulnerable children is one of the surest ways to preserve their dignity. Sponsor an orphan in one of Ummah Welfare Trust’s most noble projects, and help preserve the honour of forgotten orphans in the world today.

You can donate any amount, which will be pooled and used to assist orphans around the world. Or you can donate the specific amount and sponsor an orphan on a direct, one-to-one basis. A direct sponsorship results in receiving details and annual updates regarding your sponsored child.

Orphans are allocated based on need and availability across Ummah Welfare Trust’s orphan programmes. Country selection is not guaranteed; however, donors may contact 01204 661030 for guidance.

For countries where annual feedback reports are unavailable due to cultural or logistical challenges, such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen, updated profiles will be provided insha'Allah.

The Sadaqah Jariyah of Sponsoring Orphans

Helping an orphaned child creates a profound form of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) for you or the person on whose behalf you donate. The ongoing rewards you will receive for helping orphans include, but are not limited to:
