Widows Support 2013

Amongst of the edges of society in the Muslim world, many widows and their orphaned children receive little support.

Discriminatory social norms mean they have little access to land or other resources to offset against the income uncertainties that they face when their husband passes away.

Ummah Welfare Trust has created a fund which is used to provide regular payments to widows in poor conflict-ridden countries.

Alhamdulillah Ummah Welfare Trust is currently sponsoring 385 widows. The charity is urging for more donations however so that more widows can be helped.
