Widows Fund 2012 Update

Amongst of the edges of society in the Muslim world, many widows and their orphaned children receive little support.

Discriminatory social norms mean they have little access to land or other resources to offset against the income uncertainties that they face when their husband passes away.

In their pursuit of food and shelter for their children, the honour of many widows is sadly compromised. This has become a hidden and untold disaster across the Ummah.

Ummah Welfare Trust has created a fund which is used to provide regular payments to widows in poor conflict-ridden countries.

Alhamdulillah, 402 widows are currently being supported by Ummah Welfare Trust. The charity is however urging more donations for this project so more widows can be helped.
