QUETTA: Ummah Welfare Trust United Kingdom donated relief goods for the Afghan Refugees.

Maulana Mohammed Idrees representative for Ummah Welfare Trust distributed the relief goods among the affected people at Chaman. He also visited the camp and termed the arrangements insufficient as Refugees are living under the open sky.

He said that the winter season has started and the Refugees have nothing to protect them from the severe cold, this is especially difficult for the children and elders.

He also observed that there is a shortage of food and other daily use commodities. He said that during his visit to the camp some of the Refugees told him that they and their family members have been hungry for the last two to three days.

He also felt the urgent need for medicines as many of them are suffering from various ailments.

Maulana Mohammed Idrees urged the UNHCR, other Human Rights Organisations, and the Muslim Ummah as a whole to come forward and extend all possible help to the Afghan Refugees on humanitarian grounds.
