Quake Donations

    A voluntary group has raised more than £5,000 to help the survivors of the Pakistan earthquake.

    Members of the Ummah Welfare Trust, based in Highfields, Leicester, have collected donations from the community.

    They added to their total with collections in the city centre this weekend.

    Volunteer Salim Sarang, said: 'Everyone has been so generous. People from all communities gave a donation.'
