Eid ul Adha 1439

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,
'The greatest of days before Allah is the Day of Sacrifice.'
    [Abu Dawud]

Ummah Welfare Trust wishes a joyous 'Eid to donors, volunteers, staff and all who welcome this blessed Day of Sacrifice. On this day, we remember Allah's eminent friend, Ibrahim 'alayhis-salaam, who set an example for those who came after him.

He destroyed the idols, disavowed Allah's enemies and migrated for His sake. Despite being alone he was firm, saying, 'Verily I am going to my Lord, he will guide me.' (Q37: 99).

And he submitted to Allah completely when he offered his young son as a sacrifice to Him.

Today, we follow his Sunnah. Alhamdulillah, in these days of tashreeq, Ummah Welfare Trust will sacrifice over 12,000 animals and feed needy Muslims around the Ummah. The charity asks Allah to accept this great sacrifice on behalf of all of its donors.

May Allah give us the ability us to follow Ibrahim, and all of Allah's righteous slaves, and be ready to sacrifice that which is beloved to us for His sake.

May Allah accept from us and from you.
