Eid ul Adha 2016

'The greatest of days before Allah is the Day of Sacrifice.'
    [Sunan Abi Dawud]

Ummah Welfare Trust wishes a joyous Eid ul Adha to donors, volunteers, staff, wellwishers, and all who welcome this blessed Day of Sacrifice.

Alhamdulillah your supplications, efforts and generosity mean that Ummah Welfare Trust will spend £1.6 million providing sacrificial meat to poor families across the Ummah.

On these greatest of days, 12,400 animals will be sacrificed, and over 1 million Muslims will benefit inshaAllah.

The charity asks Allah the Almighty to accept the sacrificing of these animals on behalf of its donors.

The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what are these sacrifices?'
He said, 'The Sunnah of your father Ibrahim 'alayhis-salaam.'
They asked, 'What is there in them for us, O Messenger of Allah?'
He said, 'For every hair, one reward.'
They asked, 'And for wool, O Messenger of Allah?'
He said, 'For every strand of wool, one reward.'
    [Musnad Ahmad]

May Allah accept from you and from us.
