Income Generation Update (May 2015)

    From December 2014 to May 2014, Ummah Welfare Trust has completed the following income generation projects:

    Chechnya
    17 widows were given support in becoming self-employed. New small businesses included sewing workshops, office administration, a bakery and market stalls.

    Philippines
    - 6 hectares of land were alloted amongst 35 poor families. Families could now grow corn, tomatoes and cassava.
    - 63 heads of families each received a tri-sikad.
    - 23 small kiosks were set up.

    Somalia
