Income Generation Projects Update (November 2014)

    From June 2014 to November 2014, Ummah Welfare Trust has completed the following income generation projects:

    Chechnya
    16 widows were given support in becoming self-employed. New small businesses included sewing workshops, office administration, a bakery and market stalls.



    Philippines
    - 6 hectares of land were alloted amongst 50 poor families. Families can grow corn, tomatoes and cassava.
    - 50 heads of families each received a tri-sikad.
    - 60 small kiosks were set up.

    Somalia
    39 widows were given support in becoming self-employed. New small businesses included sewing workshops, tea stalls and market stalls.
