Ummah Welfare Trust sends Convoy of 70 Trucks to Syria

As the Ummah prepares itself for the upcoming month of blessing and generosity, Ummah Welfare Trust has secured supplies worth £1.6 million from Turkey and inside Syria targeting to benefit 400,000 orphans, widows, the elderly and refugees throughout the month of Ramadhan.

The Ummah Welfare Trust field team, consisting of Trustees, project managers and field workers from the UK, has already entered into Syria and started distributing Iftar packs to needy families.

A convoy of 70 trucks laden with food packs, baby milk and clean water will begin entering into Syria on Monday with the aim of reaching distribution centres inside Syria.

The goods will be distributed in partnership with local partners in Latakia, Halab, Idlib, Hama and its outskirts.

Ummah Welfare Trust would like to thank its donors and well-wishers for their continued support and solidarity with the Syrians in their hour of need.
