Iraq Orphan Sponsorship |
The day to day the situation in Iraq is
deteriorating at an alarming rate, it is estimated that
approximately 120 people a day are being killed in
Baghdad alone. Iraq has undergone two wars and was
besieged by 12 years of inconceivable sanctions, which
has left the country with a deteriorating healthcare and
education infrastructure and high levels of
unemployment. There is also a major refugee crisis as
the sectarian violence intensifies and thousands of
Iraqi civilians are left to flee their homes. The
current need is for shelter, food, water and medical
supplies.

Ummah Welfare Trust currently sponsors 50 orphans in Iraq,
due to this tragedy continuing, hundreds more
orphans are being made daily. |
