Bajoor (Pakistan) Refugee Appeal

28-08-2008 - Bajoor Refugee Appeal

The affected people are migrated from the Bajoor Agency (Tribal area of NWFP Pakistan) due to violence. Almost 100,000 people have migrated from that area to different areas within NWFP.

These migrated people have been moved to District Nowshera District Charsadda. District Dir and District Peshawar. In Nowshera the camps are situated in Pir Pai, 10 Kilometer away from Nowshera City. Overall fifteen relief camps have been established for the people.

The people are in very poor conditions. They have nothing for food and there is severe water shortages. The migrated people have nothing to fulfil their basic needs. Most people have been provided with tents to shelter their families by Ummah welfare Trust, whilst other needs such as food, water and medical aid are still in great demand. Local people are helping the migrated people but this is needed on a larger scale.

People are becoming victims of many diseases like Cholera, Fever, etc.

The migrated people are in need of
1. Food Aid
2. Water
3. Medical Aid

Further assessments are being carried out for medium and long term projects.

Please help us to help those in need.
